Join Elting Memorial Library and SUNY New Paltz for the One Week Zine Swap!

This is a collaborative program run by Elting Memorial Library and SUNY New Paltz for the whole community! It kicks off on April 17th at SUNY New Paltz and ends on April 24th at Elting Memorial Library. You’ll get materials to make your own zine, plus some extra fun stuff. Then, you’ll have one week to make a zine about anything you choose! On April 25th, Elting Memorial Library will have a zine swap and open mic, where you can show off your work!You can also donate your zine to both libraries’ zine collections.

The Kickoff is at Sojourner Truth Library at SUNY New Paltz. There will be a zine-making workshop, where you’ll learn all about zine history and how to make a zine of your own! You’ll be able to fold your zine and meet other creative community members!

You’ll have one week to complete your zine! Turn it in at Elting’s front desk by April 24th at 7pm. You’ll get ten free copies, and the option to donate a copy to Elting and SUNY New Paltz’s zine libraries. Then, come to our Zine Swap to trade with other participants, show off your work, and share your zine-making experience!

Registration for the challenge (which includes the workshop AND the swap) is limited to 25 participants, but attendance at the Zine Swap event is open to all. Registration on this page is ONLY for participation in the challenge. Bring friends to the swap on April 25th!
